NSD Challenge #3: Primary Colors and Stitching

The third National Scrapbook Day Challenge was to make a project using only primary colors and to incorporate stitching. I made a simple layout of Trevor with his friends, Marco and Julia. They are the children of my childhood next-door neighbor and best friend, Nancy. Even though we now live 1000+ miles apart and only see each other once a year or so, the kids always pick up immediately as if no time had passed.

Susan was the only person who played along with this challenge. She made this simple, pretty card.

Actually, I know of two others who played along but weren't able to finish until after the deadline. I don't know why, but it seems like there are always at least a hundred other things scheduled for the first Saturday in May. That's why I always put NSD on the calendar at least a year in advance. Nothing gets in the way of NSD for me! As always, huge thanks to Steve for supporting and accommodating my scrapbook obsession 100%.

  1. Well, in fact I had finished 4 more lo's (one for this challenge) but didn't read the comments where the deadline was mentioned (to busy scrapbooking to read comments, lol!) so I assumed it was at midnight. When I tried to post them I found out the challenges were closed. :(
Thanks for hosting them and I'll be more careful next time.
    Have a great day.

P.S.: BTW, when will the winner be announced?

    1. Bummer! I thought about going until midnight, but then I realized that I needed to close entries at 5:00 pm so that I'd have time to draft the first blog post that would be live Monday at 5:00 am. I'm posting each of the challenges on its own day, so winner(s) will be announced after the 10th challenge goes live on the 15th. :)
