My Favorite Tool

Both scrapbook.com and Fiskateers had a NSD challenge to scrap a layout of your favorite tool.  I took a photo of my favorite tool (Fiskars Softouch micro-tip scissors), then had a really surreal moment while I was using my micro-tip scissors to cut out a picture of my micro-tip scissors.

I decided to make my layout into a letter to Fiskars.  I love Fiskars.  Their products are top-notch and their customer service is second to none.

This was a fun layout to do.  It's completely different than anything I've done before.  That's what I love most about challenges- they take me outside my comfort zone and push my creativity in a totally new direction.

Whenever possible, I use the leftover scraps, letters, etc. from a layout to make a card.  It saves so much time, as the materials are already out and they go together.  Plus, it's a good way to use up scraps.  I checked the master list of challenges- a monochromatic card.  Perfect!  I put away the orange leftovers and created a green card using the extra dotted paper and glitter letters.  I added green cardstock and a few flowers with brads for a quick and easy card.

  2. It looks good to me. I never would have noticed the sloping Valley if you hadn't mentioned it.
