We Were Here. All. Year. Long.

This past weekend, I participated in an online crop with Victoria Marie Designs. The theme was sports (which is totally not my thing), but Victoria came up with some really fun challenges that pushed me creatively. I'm really happy with what I made! I'll be sharing my pages over the next few weeks.

The first challenge I completed was the Home Run Challenge. We had to round the metaphorical bases to make a layout, incorporating stickers (1st base), textured elements (2nd base), a large title (3rd base), and at least two patterned papers (home plate). This is what I made:

The inspiration for my page came from the chipboard "We Were Here" map pin. I thought it would be funny to pair it with a map of the world since we went absolutely nowhere in 2020. (Technically, we were in Mississippi on 1/1/20, but flew home that day.) I dug through the rest of my travel embellishments and found a car with GO on it and a globe with TRAVEL THE WORLD. A few letter stickers later, GO became NO and CAN'T appeared before TRAVEL THE WORLD. It makes me laugh, and despite the fact that there are no photos on the page, I know that when I'm looking through scrapbooks years from now, I'll be glad it's there.
