Halloween Costume, 2014

Trevor has finally figured out what he wants to be for Halloween this year.

A robber minifig, from the 2013 Lego Advent calendar. But instead of holding a coffee cup, Trevor will be holding his trick-or-treat pumpkin. If I had a million guesses, I never would have come up with that. But it actually seems pretty easy. Trevor owns black pants and a knit hat, so all I need to do is make a striped shirt, a mask, and a red bandana, then add a belt and some rope. He's unsure whether he wants yellow skin or not. I'm going to insist on the mustache though.

Here's a look back at Trevor's costumes from 2006-201020112012 and 2013. I love looking back at them. He's had a lot of fun ideas over the years.

  3. OMGosh, how funny!! :) There was a Lego girl last year at the club we went to. It was an amazing costume, but I wondered how comfortable she was. She won the contest easily! Hers was a painted box body, with the rounded yellow head (there is a photo of her on my FB, in the Halloween 2013 album). I can't wait to see how Trevor's turns out!! :) Are you and Steve going to dress up?

Looking back on your past Halloween layouts, I have to say my favorite is the blue crayon. It is absolutely ADORABLE!!! And Trevor just looks super sweet in those pictures!! I know I say this every year, but I really love that you guys always dress up to coordinate ... especially Steve!!! What a great sport!! :)

  4. Great idea for a costume and I agree: it should be fairly easy. I made Cory a mask last year as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and it was pretty fast to do. I used a craft foam sheet for the mask then added on fabric for ties. I sewed the fabric ties to the foam mask but could have just stapled it on. I need to blog his costume from last year. I don't know if you can see the mask from this link, but the mask is on my FB page under Halloween 2013. https://www.facebook.com/izzy.b.anderson/media_set?set=a.688290504522239.1073741827.100000238887336&type=3
