Happy National Scrapbook Day!

It's hard to explain the importance of National Scrapbook Day to someone who has never celebrated it. I've never watched the Super Bowl, but I think it's fair to say that NSD is the Super Bowl of the scrapbook world. It's a huge celebration of scrapbooking- parties and live events, online crops, prizes, and more. Everyone wants to know where or how you'll be celebrating.

I always celebrate in the same place- my craft room. I spend 12 hours completing every challenge at scrapbook.com, chatting with online friends, and doing as many of the Fiskateer challenges as I can.  It is energizing, inspiring, and so much fun!

In honor of NSD, I thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite layouts I've made during the past year.

This was my first layout that was published, so it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Most of my pages are about Trevor, activities we do as a family, or the vacations we take together.  This layout is special because it is one of the few I've done about how much Steve loves me.  It makes me smile every time I see it.

I love how clean this layout is, despite having 5 large photos and three different patterned papers.

I had only one sheet of this two-sided paper.  Thanks to a well-placed square of cardstock, I made it work!
The snowflake was originally blue; it looks awesome in gold.  I love the monochromatic look of this page.

I've always loved patterned paper, but for a long time I didn't really know how to use it and still maintain a clean look.
This layout has 5 different patterned papers on it.  The only cardstock is the black behind the photos.  A first for me.

As always, you can visit my gallery at scrapbook.com to learn more about what products I've used on all my layouts.  You'll also find credit for any sketches I have used or designers who have inspired me.

Happy National Scrapbook Day!
